Shiro Furuya

I am a demographer who studies how life events and social institutions shape health and socioeconomic status across the life course. My research spans health and mortality, aging and the life course, family, and migration. Combining demographic methods, causal inference, and genetic data, I study the causal and selective processes that generate differences in health and well-being.
